Description:
Fremont, Calif.-based news network OSDN (Open Source Development Networ) today announced that it has changed its name to OSTG (Open Source Technology Group) and relaunched several of its IT-focused sites.
The change addresses a trend the company has identified in open source adoption, based on recent research that suggests a large percentage of enterprises are adopting Linux and using it to run mission-critical applications.
The company has launched a new IT-focused section, IT.Slashdot.org, and has retooled its IT-focused sites Linux.com, NewsForge.com, and ITManagersJournal.com to include business-oriented articles and news coverage.
