Gordano Messaging Suite upgrades, plays nice with Outlook
Source: Gordano
Date: 20 Jul 2004

Description:

Gordano Ltd., a New York-based international developer of web-based enterprise messaging products, has released Version 10 of the Gordano Messaging Suite, a multi-platform messaging system providing a Linux-compatible alternative to Microsoft Exchange. Gordano Messaging Suite is also compatible with Windows, Solaris and AIX.

The release of the suite uses Version 3 of the GMS Collaboration Server to integrate Microsoft Outlook into the Gordano Messaging environment. Gordano's product allows for the sharing of folders, calendars, contacts, notes, journals and tasks. It synchronizes all information back to a central store, and provides options for automatic synchronization at logon or logoff. In addition to providing features to users of Microsoft Outlook, calendars and tasks can be viewed and managed from a variety of clients, including Apple iCal, Mozilla Calendar, KDE Kontact, Bloomba and GMS WebMail.
