Description:
ObjectWeb, the non-profit international consortium
focused on Open Source middleware, announces the composition of its newly elected Board of Directors for year 2004, and its strategic directions for the year to come. The ObjectWeb board counts 12 officers, including six representatives of corporate members and one representative of individual members.
ObjectWeb creates Open Source commons on which critical distributed applications can rely. More than 70 projects are currently under ObjectWeb's umbrella: platforms like JOnAS, Joram, Enhydra, components and frameworks for workflow, EAI and other high added value applications, and productivity tools including plug-ins for IDEs such as Eclipse.
ObjectWeb recently initiated cooperation with various organizations including the Apache Software
Foundation and Eclipse. Independent and business-neutral, the consortium will keep facilitating
synergies across complementary projects and organizations to develop integrated Open Source
middleware solutions.
