BakBone Software Inc. announced that it has extended its Linux Advantage initiative to certify more of its products on Linux, major hardware platforms and applications.

Industry support for Linux Advantage includes HP, Intel, Network Appliance, Oracle, SGI, Sony, StorageTek, Fujitsu and Breece Hill.

Linux Advantage connects devices and applications with Linux distributions for backup and recovery. The initiative provides for joint collaboration on marketing and development opportunities with each partner.
