Introduced this week at LinuxWorld in Boston, MA, NetVault support for Red
Hat Enterprise Linux version 4 on Intel x86 platforms is currently
available, with additional Red Hat Enterprise Linux version 4 ports for IBM
PowerPC, Itanium and Opteron rolling out over the next quarter.
Based on the Linux 2.6 kernel, Red Hat Enterprise Linux version 4 with
NetVault support enables customers to capitalize on the performance and
security benefits as well as the sizeable reductions in operating and
outlay expenses that Linux offers, while ensuring reliable data recoverability. BakBone supports applications such as Oracle 10g, SAP R/3 and DB2.
