Solinus debuts anti-spam Linux network appliance
Source: Solinus
Date: 15 Feb 2005

Description:

Solinus, a company that builds Human Intelligence based anti-spam solutions, today announced the release of its Linux-powered MailFoundry 4100 anti-spam appliance. The appliance can process over five million messages per day, has no per-user fees and will cost $3,499.

All of MailFoundry's family of anti-spam appliances are powered by Solinus' MessageIQ e-mail scanning engine, which can block up to 99% of spam and 100% of all known viruses with a near-zero false-positive rate. Solinus has a team of human editors who review spam attacks in real time and create a spam profile designed to block specific spam without creating false positives. These updates are automatically distributed to MailFoundry appliances world-wide every five minutes.
