PolyServe clustering software supports Oracle 10g on Linux
PolyServe Inc. announced Monday that its Matrix Server shared data clustering software supports Oracle's 10g database on Linux.
Matrix Server is a complement to 10g's storage management features like Automatic Storage Management. It simplifies the installation of a cluster and improves data-loading performance by enabling parallel Extract Transform and Load (ETL) operations clusterwide. It also adds high availability features like multi-path I/O (MPIO).
PolyServe Matrix Server includes a clustering file systems, high availability services that help uptime and cluster and storage management capabilities for managing servers and storage as a single unit from a single console.
For 10g enterprise edition, PolyServe Matrix Server software is available on Red Hat Enterprise Linux and SUSE LINUX Enterprise Server with pricing starting at $4,500 per CPU. For the standard edition, it is available on both platforms starting at $3,000 per CPU for up to a maximum of four CPUs clusterwide.
