Scott Nathan, Attorney, Consultant, iLinx International LLC
Scott J. Nathan is an attorney whose practice is focused on technology-related matters. He currently advises clients on Internet-related risks and risk avoidance, including negotiating and drafting creative service level agreements, employee relations and insurance coverage. Scott has advised software companies and customers about open source licensing and the interface between open source and proprietary software. He also engages in litigation regarding intellectual property and technology disputes, including most recently a case involving claims of computer fraud and abuse. Using his substantial experience in the areas of risk management and insurance coverage for a variety of industries, Nathan is also a manager of iLinx International LLC, which works with The Olliance Group to provide open source consulting services. Scott is the co-author of "The Legal Framework for Protecting Intellectual Property," which appears as Chapter 12 of "The Computer Security Handbook" (4th ed.). He has written and spoken extensively about such issues as online privacy and cyberspace jurisdiction.
