Matt O'Keefe, CTO, Sistina Software
An expert and educator in the fields of clustering technologies and storage infrastructures, Matt O'Keefe is CTO and founder of Sistina Software of Minneapolis, MN. From 1990 to May 2000, he taught and performed research in storage systems and parallel simulation software as an associate professor of electrical and computer engineering at the University of Minnesota. Unable to find a storage solution for the complex data they were gathering, he decided to create one himself, founding Sistina in 1997.
O'Keefe's achievements include the development of the industry?s first cluster file system running over a Fibre Channel SAN, first demonstrated at the 1997 NAB conference. He has published more than 60 technical papers and frequently conducts workshops at industry conferences. He has served on the National Academy of Science panel, making recommendations on computational issues and simulations. He holds M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Purdue University.
