QUESTION POSED ON: 22 August 2005
I am using Java and Oracle. How can I read MS-Access .mdb files and put the data into Oracle in a Linux environment? I was able to do the same in Windows using odbc-jdbc. Is there any driver available for Java in Linux that can read .mdb files?

>
It appears that Oracle has a product called Oracle Migration Workbench that appears to be the preferred way to migrate mdb files into Oracle.

Databases aren't my core area of expertise but my research comes up with some commercial solutions for odbc-jdbc connectivity on Linux. There is a company called DataDirect and another one called Easy Soft that make JDBC and ODBC drivers for Linux. I believe that OpenLinks software has a solution as that might work as well.
