My histories keep disappearing from Firefox, which I'm running on XP Pro. What's going on?

Difficult to diagnose from over here! Perhaps you've somehow corrupted your history file? Try flushing out all the history using the options in Tools | Options, and restarting Firefox. If that doesn't work, ask in a Firefox forum. There's no obvious reason why that should happen, unless you've been experimenting with your profile, or with about:config? There is an obscure preference that can reduce the histry list down to zero days. You did check that the history items are also gone from the History sidebar (menu items Go | History)?
