Numbers and bullets are one of the top issues that emerge, if you have conversion problems. I would suggest two things:
- If you haven't already, select an existing set of numbering and bullet styles or create new styles, in StarOffice (or OpenOffice.org). You can more easily apply the right formatting this way.
- Do the same thing on the Word side.
If formatting is still troublesome in spots, select the text and choose Format > Default. Then reapply the style.
You can also use the icons in the bullet/numbered list object bar. Click in a numbered list and the icons on the object bar will change to list-specific tools.
