Integrating Linux into existing management frameworks such as Unicenter, Openview, etc. initially requires that the vendor support the Linux environment. I can only speak for Unicenter, but in a vendor-neutral way, that integration begins with the determination of what you wish to manage in the environment. You may wish to support security to manage your super user, or do asset management, or monitor the availability of the Linux resources. Or you may want to ensure that performance is adequate.
Once you've scoped your initial management plans then I suggest you speak to the vendor of your management infrastructure and develop an implementation plan.
