Sam Greenblatt, Senior Vice President and Chief Architect, Linux Technology Group, Computer Associates
Sam Greenblatt is senior vice president and chief architect for Computer Associates' Linux Technology Group. A recognized expert in networked computing, system management and object technology, he has served on the graduate faculties of Temple University and LaSalle University. He holds two US patents: 5,848,254 Object Message Passing and 5,809,238 An Object Data Store. Currently, he is involved with creating management solutions focusing on the next generation of servers and providers (Web services) and server consolidation.
Prior to Computer Associates, Sam was CTO and vice president of research and development at Candle Corporation. There, he managed key software application projects in communications, distributed processing, applications and development tools, and project management techniques in the area of systems management. Prior to Candle, he held management positions at ARCO, Commodore International and Arthur Andersen.
Sam now serves on the board of the Object Management Group. He is a member of the Architecture Board The Open Group and was the chairman of the DMI Committee on systems management. |
