John H. Terpstra is a well-known contributor and visionary in the open source community and has a very active commercial focus. He is co-founder of the Samba-Team, a member of the Open Source Software Institute Advisory Board. He is active with the Linux Standards Base and the Free Standards Group, has served as a steering committee member of the Li18nux (now OpenI18N)and currently serves on the SPEC/SNIA (Storage Network Industry Association) Standards Group. John has worked with The SCO Group (previously Caldera Inc.), most recently as Evangelist. He also served as vice president of development and then vice president of community relations for TurboLinux.
