Where can I find resources for patch updates?

I need to obtain two obsolete Solaris 2.6 patch bundles, and I've heard there is a freeware site where I can obtain the software.

Do you know its URL? Also, is there a patch update site for Red Hat Linux?

Here's a URL that gives you a portal of information for patches of all Unix/Linux systems:

http://www.washington.edu/computing/security/update.html

If you prefer vendor specific:

Direct from SUN:

  • https://sunsolve.sun.com/patchpro/patchpro.html
  • http://www.sun.com/bigadmin/patches/indexRec.html

    Direct from Red Hat:

Good luck and always back up your root filesystems before applying patches you know nothing about!
