Partitioning on a Win98 workstation

I am trying to install Red Hat Linux 9 Fedora on a Win98-based workstation which has two drives. The master drive has about 6 GB left on it. I have a slave drive that has about 4 GB. When it comes to auto-partitioning, the install just keeps complaining, stating that it could not partition the drives. I try manual partitioning, but the system freezes. What am I doing wrong? Any help would be highly appreciated.

Try a package like Partition Expert from Acronis, or Partition Magic. This will enable you to define an EXT or Reiser partition and then you can move forward with the install.
