Are Adobe products available on Linux? If not, are there good alternatives?

Acrobat Reader is available for Linux, but in general Adobe concentrates on Windows and Mac. Depending upon what you want to achieve, there are a couple of good options on Linux. For creating Acrobat-readable documents, check out OpenOffice, which will output in Acrobat format. Also, PDFcreator is able to convert documents to pdf format. For image manipulation there is GIMP, which has much of the power of Adobe Photoshop. GIMP can be a little difficult to get used to, so I would definitely get some help or a book to get started.
