Installing xrdp on Dap desktop 6.06 or Fiesty Desktop 7.04

I have two sets of instructions on how to install xrdp on to Ubuntu. Neither worked for me. I combined the two and I get an rdp session, but the desktop is grey. Do you have good instructions on how to install xrdp on either the Dap desktop 6.06 or Fiesty Desktop 7.04?

I hope I am not suggesting instructions you have already tried, but these seem to be working for responders on the thread "XRDP working with GNOME - howto (HACK)" from the Ubuntu community forum.
