How to stop distros from crashing during install

How to stop distros from crashing during install

I have a notebook, and I can't get any distribution of Linux other thatn Adios and SuSE installed on it. When it starts loading the PCMCIA and/or the 1394 device drivers on other Linux distributions it crashes. I?d like to know if there is a way to bypass this check.

You can try Xandros. With SUSE use YAST, and with Red Hat you have to drop the firewire support and run the install time
