Q

Eliminating extra spaces in OpenOffice

Office suite expert Solveig Haugland explains how to eliminate accidental spaces in OpenOffice using the Autocorrect workaround.

I get extra spaces that I accidentally type sometimes in my documents' sentences. Is there a way to get OpenOffice to flag them, or better yet, eliminate them?

If you want to eliminate two or more spaces anywhere in your document, that's easy to do. Choose Tools > AutoCorrect. In the Options tab, select the Ignore Double Spaces option, then click OK.
