Can Linux connect to a MS-VPN server as a client?
Yes, as a matter of fact, it can. The tool you need is called FreeS/WAN -- added to your Linux kernel it provides IPsec support that will interoperate with Microsoft VPN technology. See http://www.freeswan.org.
