When you register, my team of editors will also send you resources covering Linux administration and management; integration and interoperability between Linux, Windows and Unix; securing Linux and mixed-platform environments; and migrating to Linux.
Cathleen A. Gagne, Senior Editorial DirectorMake sure you get the processor, memory and disk you need for your environment, and you should be good to go. Don't modify sendmail.cf with linuxconf; you could run into problems. Obviously the administration tools are different as far as the OS is concerned -- which may be your biggest challenge -- but overall SendMail is SendMail. If you know how to run an e-mail system, you should be fine.
Here's a PDF I found somewhere; it summarizes some of the issues you may come across: http://www.bynari.net/LinuxMigration.pdf.
