Q

Authenticating selected users of Linux through a Windows server

Is it possible to authenticate selected users who have Internet access of Linux through a Windows 2000 advance server?
Yes, this is possible. The tool you need is called ntlm_auth. It is part of the Samba-3 release (current version of Samba-3 is 3.0.2a). Chapter 11 of my new book "Samba-3 by Example" ISBN:0131472216 (Can be pre-ordered from Amazon.Com now) documents step-by-step procedures to implement the entire solution.
