Authenticating Windows users on Linux servers
I have a Windows 2000 server, and now I have installed Linux on a few systems. I don't want to create separate users for Linux. Instead, I want Linux to accept Windows users and authenticate them from my server. Is this possible?
When you register, my team of editors will also send you resources covering Linux administration and management; integration and interoperability between Linux, Windows and Unix; securing Linux and mixed-platform environments; and migrating to Linux.

Sure. I have fully documented how to do this in Chapter 9 of my book, "Samba-3 by Example" (Prentice Hall, ISBN:0131472216). You can download a free copy of this book from this
