Q

Additional kernel security features with RHEL

Security expert James Turnbull explains what security features are enhanced in the kernel in RHEL.

What security features are added to the standard Linux kernel by Red Hat in RHEL?
I think the key feature added to the Red Hat Enterprise Linux kernel is SELinux. It's a security access control architecture. The RHEL 4 kernel also supports file system encryption, VPNs using IPsec and enhanced support for IPtables.
